This was the initial explanation about the visual keyboard that I'd had given
earlier. As this is turning out to be a frequent query, am sending it to this
list for ease of reference.

Alright, I'll try and paste the IRC snippet from a conversation Runa
had a bit earlier in the day to help set the context and expectation.

<arrbee> currently when we have to write any of these languages we do
not write it the way we write on paper
<arrbee> for example, if we need to write कि , we do not write it as ि
क. Rather we have to type it in as क ि and then the renderining engine
rules displays it as कि this is not the visual mode of typing the one
we use on paper is the visual mode so yep, it'll require creating new
rules for the visual mode so that we can replicate that typing

We would like to leave it to the interested candidate to do the
initial study around the concept and come up with a first draft of the
proposal which talks about the programming and architecture choices.
In your proposal we would like to see your understanding of the
current input methods, layouts and any other aspect which would be
relevant with achieving the end objective of the project.
