[Project-ideas] Open Type Bengali Font

Hi,
I am Pankaj.

My name is Pankaj Bhambhani. I am a third year B.Tech. student of Dhirubhai
Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT)
Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

I wish to participate in Google Summer of Code 2012.

I have previously worked with KDE . I participated in their event Season of
KDE (SOK) during the period May-July 2011. I worled on Choqok under the
mentorship of Mehrdad Money in that event.

I wish to work with you as a part of GSOC. I looked at your GSOC project
ideas. I have used FontForge ( a font editor for linux) somewhat (not
extensively, though) and I found the ideas of
"Design and development of a print ready OpenType font for Bengali"

I would like to know what all I would need to learn.
