And that is precisely why it is important to preserve the main purpose of having
a sprint. A translation sprint is done as an additional exercise to fast-track
some part of the translation process that needs an immediate attention and would
accelerate the main mission considerably. Using translation sprints randomly
without a larger purpose or pre-conditioning, as done in translation camps these
days, more often than not undoes a good amount of the refinement that has been
painstakingly achieved and IMHO is nothing much beyond a flippant exercise in
popularity.
